    NZ singer who later relocated to the US. This single was released in NZ and Australia and also appeared on her American album Tumblin’ Down on RCA Victor.

    From the duo’s Album #1, their only LP after releasing several singles as the Allen Brothers throughout the 60s. It was not released in Australia, though a couple of tracks were issued as a single. This is one of the album cuts. Peter Allen’s subsequent career is well documented.

    Until its release on the Minuets For Moderns compilation LP, this demo was most likely unreleased or possibly an extremely rare single. It was written about the street Brian Peacock lived in at the time.

  8. Freshwater

    W&G S-8208 1969
    Ex-pat NZ band which had a number of line-up changes; the only constant member was guitarist Murray Partridge. Bassist here is Peter Roberts who went onto the La De Das and Band Of Light. This is the B-side of their second single Son of A Lovin' Man. Their next release Satan [Obscured 3] was a much heavier effort altogether.

    Demo version with original singer Steve Hill. The track appeared on the Skyhooks Box Set in 1983 and the Roadcase collection in 1996. NB the extra verse.

    Another Radio With Pictures track. Rock Granite included Pat Wilson, Wayne Duncan, Wayne Burt and Jeff Burstin (both pre Jo Jo Zep) et al; they never released any official recordings.
