    His fifth solo single, not counting two with the Soul Agents a couple of years previously. Its biggest success was in Brisbane, reaching #33.

    Their freakbeat classic Long Live Sivinanda was on the A; this quite different track was the B-side and is the only song from their two singles not to appear on CD.

    B-side of The Vibrants’ penultimate single I Can't Let Go Of Your Love - the first to feature Penny Parsons on vocals - which reached #55 nationally. Temple Douglas is a pseudonym for Buddy England who ran the label and produced the single.

    Opening track from the In A Broken Dream LP (but without Rod Stewart’s vocals). PLJ at this point included David Bentley, David Montgomery, Mike Liber, Tony Cahill and Gary Boyle.

    A rare and unrecorded song by the all-too-short-lived band most famous for the classic Golden Miles. This track was recorded live in the studio for GTK.

    A great version of a classic song, which Geyer has never officially recorded in her long career. This was also a live performance for GTK, backed by Mother Earth.

    Single edit of a track from their Last Drive In Movie Show live album, recorded at the Much More Ballroom the previous year.
  13. Markeeta Little Wolf
    Never Been A Horse That Couldn’t Be Rode (Phillips) 2:59

    Daughter of wrestler Big Chief Little Wolf and successful on the TV programme Showcase, she released one album Sunbird, from which this was the first single. Little Wolf left music not long afterwards and is now mayor of Waitsburg, Washington!

    Final track on the NZ’s prog/pop band’s only LP Clockwork Revenge.
  16. Mark Gillespie

    Another performer with a relatively short career. This was one of his first recordings, from the compilation album Debutantes. Unfortunately, Gillespie had given up music by the early 90s.

    Recorded in LA for Flashez (ABC-TV) featuring Ray Burgess, Daryl Cotton, Steve Kipner, Billy Thorpe, Brian Cadd, Russell Morris and Rick Springfield. A lament for all the Aussie expats.

    Missing Link ING 003 Recorded 1977, released 1981
    Paul Kelly’s first band (pre-Dots) also featured Martin Armiger, Chris Langman, John Lloyd etc. This is one of two known recordings, taken from the compilation The Melbourne Club.

    A Melbourne band, not a person, which released one rare EP co-produced by Tony Buettel. This is the title track. Keyboard player Michael Gray later joined Jeff St John’s band Asylum.

    Rare and very odd solo single from the former bass player for the Pelaco Bros, Autodrifters etc. The label gives this as the A-side while the cover lists it as the B.

    Duo of Julie Oliver and Brendan Hanley; this single also appeared on their Living On An Island LP. Other musicians and singers on the album include Mark Punch, Greg Sheehan, Mal McGhee and Hans Poulsen, with production by Trevor Lucas.
