    Do’s And Dont’s (Tarney) 2:14
    W&G S-2370 1965
The only single from this Adelaide band. Members Kevin Peek, Alan Tarney and Trevor Spencer all went on to the James Taylor Move, then formed Quartet in the UK with ex-Twilight Terry Britten. Peek later became a member of Sky.
  6. Jeff St John & The Id
    Stupidity (Solomon Burke) 2:33
    c. 1966/67 Previously unreleased
Recorded for an ABC TV series called Be Our Guest, this version by the Id was never officially released on vinyl, despite being at least the equal of any other!
  7. Phil Jones & The Unknown Blues
Brave New World (Of Fairy Tales) (Jones-Bros) 2:53
    Festival LK-2063 1967
Jones’ last single with the Unknown Blues, although he had one more solo release. A great way to go out.
  8. Phil Jones & The Unknown Blues
Lovin’ You Is Better, Baby (Jones-Bros) 2:40
B-side of track 7 and another excellent original song.
  9. The Sect

  17. Avenue
    Naturally Free (Gresham) 3:00
    APLA NLF-001 1975
Naturally Free was a biker movie, and this very obscure band performed the title song, which of course also featured on the soundtrack LP. It was also the B-side to their own single Leave Me To Dream. The album apparently had a release on M7 (MLF-206) as well.

Put You On My Wall (prob Kilbey) 3:22
    Demo, previously unreleased. 1977
One of a handful of demos from Steve Kilbey’s first band, based in Canberra. This particular song gives a good indication of the forthcoming sound of The Church.
